ExperimentProposal #1 · diseño solamente
Pre-qualified landing page with paid-positioned early access (pricing click + signup) for SKU-level backup + diff bulk-editor for Shopify stores
Pendiente de aprobación Landing page
Hypothesis
Shopify merchants who manage catalogs with >500 SKUs will demonstrate real purchase intent for a small, reliable bulk-edit tool with simulation/diff + downloadable backup/restore-by-SKU if presented a clear, low-friction early-access offer priced at ~$9–19/month; specifically, at least 5% of qualified visitors will click a 'Join paid early access — Start at $9/mo' CTA on a concise landing page targeted via Shopify forums/Reddit posts.
Target customer
Owners or managers of small Shopify stores with medium catalogs (>=500 SKUs/variants) who perform bulk edits and have experienced or fear rollback/data-loss from bulk edits; recruit via Shopify Community threads, r/shopify and r/ecommerce posts, and targeted DM/PM replies in those threads.
Value proposition
A tiny, predictable bulk editor that previews changes (visual diff), creates a downloadable per-change backup (CSV/JSON), and offers precise SKU/variant rollback — avoids surprise charges and destructive edits from large editor apps.
Offer & price
Paid early-access / founder tier positioned at $9/month (limited spots). Signup asks for email, store URL, SKU count bracket, and an explicit 'I want this at $9/mo' checkbox. No payment collected in this phase.
USD 9,00
Why this experiment
A landing page with a paid-positioned early-access CTA (no payment collection) is the cheapest, fastest behavioral test that yields stronger evidence than surveys: clicks to a priced CTA show willingness-to-pay intent and conversion funnel estimates without building the product. It costs effectively $0 if posted within existing communities and using direct outreach; small paid boosts (optional) remain under the $10 preferred cap. This beats surveys (weaker signals) and fake-door paid funnels (riskier/needs wider ads spend).
Design
Create a single-page landing page describing the core feature (CSV import, visual diff preview, downloadable backup, per-SKU rollback). Show concrete screenshots/mockups and a clear pricing anchor: 'Early access: $9/month (founder tier) — limited spots'. Primary CTA: 'Join paid early access — Start at $9/mo' which opens a short signup form that records email, store size (number of SKUs), and a one-click confirmation that they intend to pay at that price (no charge). Track CTA clicks and completed signups. Acquire respondents by posting a short, contextual entry in Shopify Community thread(s), r/shopify and contacting merchants who commented in the 109-review thread; optionally boost one post with $5–10 Reddit or small Meta boost targeted to merchant audiences.
Canal: Organic posts and replies in Shopify Community threads + r/shopify and r/ecommerce; targeted replies to merchants in the collected negative-review thread; optional micro-boost ($5) on Reddit or Meta to reach more store owners.

Metrics
Primaria: Percent of qualified landing-page visitors who click the paid early-access CTA and complete the signup form (paid-intent conversion rate).
Secundarias: Number of completed signups with store URL and SKU count, Distribution of SKU-count brackets among signups (to verify target segment), Email reply / request-for-demo rate among signups (qualitative follow-ups), Cost per qualified signup (if paid boost used)
Muestra mínima: 200
Precommitted thresholds
Éxito: >=5% paid-CTA conversion from qualified visitors and at least 10 completed signups with store size >=500 SKUs within 14 days.
Fracaso: <2% paid-CTA conversion OR fewer than 3 qualified signups (>=500 SKUs) in 14 days.
Expected learning
Measure real willingness-to-pay intent and identify whether merchants with >=500 SKUs are motivated to join a paid early access at $9/mo. Learn the realistic funnel conversion from community traffic to paid-intent signups, verify price anchor, and collect store-size data to estimate addressable subset and CAC if paid acquisition is required.
Risks
- Community posts may be removed as self-promotion or attract low-quality responses; messaging must be contextual and helpful.
- Signups indicate intent but are not payments; some overstatement risk remains.
- Targeting via community threads may bias toward more vocal/angry merchants rather than representative store owners.
- Optional paid boost may increase cost-per-signup beyond estimates; keep boosts minimal to stay under budget.
